Booking.com is a great booking site for cheap hotels and other accommodation. They have an easy to use interface, wide selection, and no money down policy. They are especially good for listings in developing countries as they feature a lot of non-chain hotels. Booking.com will also ensure that if your booked hotel overbooks, Booking.com will hold them accountable to pay for any price differences upon re-booking. This happened twice to me and Booking.com went to bat for me.
